I have been a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist for 19 years and received my Master of Science degree in Psychology at California State University, Chico in 1991. I worked for many years in county mental health and substance abuse treatment, and am able to work with a wide range of issues. Currently, in my private practice, I provide a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their challenges, and develop skills. My main approach is Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. By assisting clients in identifying their negative thought patterns which create unwanted feelings and behaviors, individuals and couples are able to make lifelong changes in how they experience the world. My personal growth and my focus on mindfulness developed through my yoga practice over the past 20 years.
